How the New World Symphony Conquered the World Date: 01 May 2013 - 23 February 2014 | Antonín Dvorák's Symphony No. 9, Op. 95, “From the New World” is the Czech composer's best known symphony. Dvorák composed it shortly after arriving in New York in 1982, where he was invited to become the Director of the National Conservatory of Music. This small exhibition at the Antonín Dvorák Museum features music scores, pictures and autographs, and reveals the connection between the symphony and ancient American-Indian legends. | |

Prague Proms 2013
Date: 21 June 2013 - 20 July 2013 | The Prague Proms annual music festival is a series of classical concerts organised by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. Traditionally these take place at their Prague home, the Municipal House, in the stunning Smetana Hall, the largest auditorium in the building. This year, two other prestigious venues join the Prague Proms, the Rudolfinum Concert Hall and Hybernia Theatre. | |

The Danish team, headed by three-time world champion Nicki Pedersen, will bid to follow up last year’s success in Sweden, but Grand Prix champ Chris Holder will be hoping he can lead Australia to the title after missing out by three points last year. | |
