How the New World Symphony Conquered the World Date: 01 May 2013 - 23 February 2014 | Antonín Dvorák's Symphony No. 9, Op. 95, “From the New World” is the Czech composer's best known symphony. Dvorák composed it shortly after arriving in New York in 1982, where he was invited to become the Director of the National Conservatory of Music. This small exhibition at the Antonín Dvorák Museum features music scores, pictures and autographs, and reveals the connection between the symphony and ancient American-Indian legends. | |

Mattoni Prague Grand Prix 2013 Date: 07 September 2013 | The Mattoni Prague Grand Prix is the last major running event of the year through Prague's city centre. Participants run the course at night, through the illuminated historical streets. The atmosphere at the Old Town Square is enhanced by live music and dancing. The event comprises a 10km Men's Race, 5km Women's Race, and 10km Men's and 5km Women's team races. | |

Dvorak's Prague Festival 2013
Date: 10 September 2013 - 20 September 2013 | This major series of concerts celebrates Antonín Dvořák, the great Czech composer. Concerts feature the works of Dvorak and International composers, performed by Czech and International orchestras. Most take place in the magnificent main hall at the Rudolfinum. One concert, on the 15th September, is performed at St. Vitus Cathedral at Prague Castle. | |

Visit the Prague theatre for a typically Czech experience. Black light theatre is a highly charged mix of dynamic dance, mime, singers, film, and state-of-the-art visual and sound effects.
