The Prague Proms annual music festival is a series of classical concerts organised by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. These are held at their Prague home, Municipal House, in the stunning Smetana Hall, the largest auditorium in the building.

New Prague Dance Festival

Participants for the festival come from all over the world to compete in categories including classic dance, modern dance, jazz-hip hop, folk, Latino dance, choreography, dramatic dance, pedagogy, dance talents, modern talents and costume design.

Metallica on Request in Concert

US rockers Metallica visit Prague with their unique show Metallica On Request. The set list will be decided by their fans. Everybody who buys a ticket will be invited to create their dream set list from among 140 songs. The 17 most popular tracks will be performed, along with new material. Fans can keep track of the voting on Metallica's official website.

French Market at Kampa Island

'Good food, good mood and live music' - the 7th annual French Market brings the joie de vivre to Prague. The event runs for 5 days at Na Kampe in central Prague, a small square otherwise known as Kampa Island in the Lesser Town. Market stalls offer a variety of traditional French meats and sausages, cheese and wines from across France. There is also music to entertain.

The Bohemia Jazz Fest is an annual event drawing in musicians from America and various European countries. The show travels around the Czech Republic, with 3 days allocated to Prague. Come and enjoy some free open-air jazz at the Old Town Square.

Prague Folklore Days

The 8th International meeting of folk groups in Prague runs over four days on open air stages at the Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square and Republic Square. Amateur folk groups travel from many countries to present their own style of folklore. On Saturday afternoon there is also a parade through the Old Town.

Prague is famous for opera, ballet and classical concerts. Performances take place in three magnificent opera houses, in stunning concert halls and in an array of beautiful historic churches. Visit the Prague theatre for a typically Czech experience.
Black light theatre is a highly charged mix of dynamic dance, mime, singers, film, and state-of-the-art visual and sound effects. And marionette theatre features giant puppets.
