A delightful New Year's Eve river cruise through Prague, with entertainment from a first class jazz band.
Many of Prague's famous sights border the river and guests will experience unparalleled views of the city lit up against the night sky. Attractions include: Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, the Rudolfinum Concert Hall, Prague Parliament, the Lesser Town, the National Theatre, Dancing House and Vysehrad Park.
As the evening gets underway, a fine hot and cold buffet dinner (included in the price) is laid out for you to enjoy at your table, in the heated interior of the boat.
The bar on board offers a range of beers, wines, spirits, and hot and cold soft drinks. Tip: order house wine by the glass. It's fairly good quality and at around £2.50/€3 for a large glass, it's great value and cheaper than ordering by the bottle!
While you dine and take in the sights, the jazz band strikes up, playing gentle background tunes. As the night progresses, the tempo increases, and you may wish to take to the dance floor. Otherwise, sit back and enjoy the atmosphere of this special night.
Approaching midnight we cruise towards Charles Bridge, where we encourage you to assemble on deck to watch the fireworks over the city from this unique vantage point.
Note: This is the best cruise in Prague, and highly enjoyable, but not as luxurious as the more expensive cruises in London and Paris. Come with that thought in mind and you will have a thoroughly good evening.
The Jazz Cruise has run for many years on New Year's Eve in Prague, and always sells out, so advance reservations are essential.
If you prefer a disco rather than a jazz band, there is the Party Boat.
