Set on the hillside just below Prague Castle
, Piano Nobile at Villa Richter offers the finest Czech cuisine dining experience in the city.
Piano Nobile is on the top floor of Villa Richter, a classicist summerhouse from 1836. The villa is set amongst the extensive vines of one of Bohemia's oldest vineyards (AD 908).
The whole estate, including the villa, the restaurants, the vineyards and the garden terraces, has been meticulously restored.
This rural ideal offers magnificent panoramic views over Prague: over the Vltava River, the Lesser Town and across to the Old Town. And yet the restaurant is only a few minutes walk from the metro station Malostranska in the Lesser Town.
Piano Nobile presents a menu of traditional Czech dishes plus international cuisine, which should ensure all tastes are catered for. There is an emphasis on employing fresh seasonal ingredients, with dishes well-prepared and presented.
Around 2500 bottles are stored in the 'Wine Chest' embedded in the villa's bedrock mass. This ensures a fine selection of Czech and International wines are on offer.
In the warmer months guests have the choice of dining outside on the terrace, to enjoy the alfresco views over the city.
Villa Richter has all the charm of Prague's old world. Its vineyards date from the 10th century and were said to have been tended by St. Wenceslas himself. Stroll amongst the vines either before or after dinner, and enjoy the setting and the fine cuisine.
The other restaurant at Villa Richter is Piano Terra.
Piano Nobile at Villa Richter is an ideal restaurant for groups celebrating a special occasion. Advance reservations are essential.
