Book Prague Castle Tour
Our Prague Castle Tour is an in depth visit to the Prague Castle complex. It includes admission to the major buildings within: St. Vitus Cathedral, Old Royal Palace, St. George's Basilica and Golden Lane.

This sightseeing tour is part by air-conditioned coach, but mostly on foot (Prague Castle is pedestrianised).

After picking you up from your Prague hotel, we drive up to the castle to begin our tour. Prague Castle is the city's No1 tourist attraction and is Europe's largest medieval castle. It is set in a commanding position overlooking the city, from where the Kings of Bohemia once ruled.

Prague Castle is an intriguing mix of great halls, palaces, state apartments, churches, a monastery, viewing towers, fortifications, museums and art galleries.

Our guide brings the castle to life by explaining the turbulent history surrounding the various buildings, and their royal and presidential connections.

At St. Vitus Cathedral we discover where the coronation of Kings and Queens took place. We admire the grand architecture of the Old Royal Palace. And we explore St. George's Basilica, founded in 920 AD - the best-preserved Romanesque church in Prague.

Plus we tour Golden Lane (Zlatá ulička), an ancient street dating from the 15th Century where fine artisans lived and worked, supplying the needs of the inhabitants of the castle. This was also where the mystical art of alchemy was practised.

Prague Castle affords visitors magnificent views over the whole city. To fully appreciate the panorama, at the end of the tour we head down towards the river via some ancient stone steps, enjoying the changing scenery as we walk.

Prague Experience sightseeing tours are in English and another language. They are led by professional, licensed tourist guides and use modern, air-conditioned mini-coaches.

If you require a tour in French, German, Italian, Russian or Spanish, please specify on the booking form.

The tour finishes at Malostranska metro (line A) in the Lesser Town, by the river.
