U Ceskych Panu is a good value, highly recommended Medieval style restaurant, 5 minutes walk from
Wenceslas Square.
U Ceskych Panu (The Restaurant of the Czech Lords) is set in Gothic cellars. These have been expertly restored to offer the feel of medieval authenticity, but in a modern, air-conditioned environment.
The food has wide appeal, mixing traditional medieval favourites with modern Czech restaurant cuisine.
The menu offers smoked meats, roast duck, sausages and roast pork, as well as a fine goulash, roast leg of lamb with mashed potatoes, and various steak, chicken and fish dishes. There are also salads and vegetarian dishes.
Local Moravian wines and cool Czech beers provide the perfect accompaniment to your meal. As with the food, the drinks are very reasonably priced, ensuring diners can eat and drink pretty much what you like without denting the wallet.
Tip: For an aperitif or after dinner drink, you may like to order a bottle of Bohemia Brut 'Czech Champagne'; a nice touch, and once again, for a good price.
For good quality, well presented food, served in interesting surroundings, U Ceskych Panu is for us, the best value restaurant in Prague.

U Ceskych Panu caters well for groups. It suits celebrations and parties of all kinds. Medieval entertainment and folk nights can also be arranged: Medieval Entertainment & Folk Nights. Advance reservations are essential.
