Agharta is a popular jazz club located just off the
Old Town Square. The club is set in an atmospheric 14th century brick cellar, ideal for listening to jazz.
Live music is on offer every night from 9pm. While jazz is the theme, other musical styles also come into play, from blues and funk to swing.
The crowd is generally a mixture of nationalities and ages - all there to enjoy the great ambience and superb acoustics of the main room.
The stage is pretty small, with the audience seated close up to the musicians. There is as much seating as possible squeezed in, but you may find yourself standing if you arrive late.
Bar prices are fairly reasonable for a jazz club. Pilsner Urquell is the beer on tap. There is also waiter service, so you don’t have to miss any of the performance.
