The Rudolfinum Concert Hall in Prague hosts a varied programme of classical music concerts and exhibitions.
Located alongside the river, this beautiful building is the second most significant Neo-Renaissance structure in Prague, after the National Theatre.
The Rudolfinum was built between 1876-1884. In the early 20th century, it played an important role in the development of Czechoslovakia, with the seat of the state parliament sited here between the two world wars.
Today, the Rudolfinum is home to the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, founded in 1896, who perform regular concerts throughout the year here in the largest concert hall in the building, the Dvorák.
The Dvorák is one of the two main concert halls in Prague (the other is the Smetana Hall at Municipal House). The grandeur of both the interior and exterior of the Rudolfinum, combined with the high standard of the musicians who perform here, make it one of the most popular places in Prague for classical concerts.
There are minor rooms at the Rudolfinum where soloist vocal and instrumentals are held, however all concerts listed on Prague Experience are held in the Dvorák Hall.
