V Zátiší Wine Restaurant was one of the first restaurants in Prague to open after the velvet revolution. By 1996, it had achieved the prestigious ´best restaurant in Central & Eastern Europe´ award by Egon Ronay´s Seagram Guide. V Zátiší was then named ´best restaurant in Prague´ by Gourmet 2001.
Today, V Zatisi still picks up awards, although its quiet location ensures it remains somewhat of a hidden gem.
V Zatisi Restaurant is situated in the Old Town, just off the charming Bethlehem Square (Betlémské náměstí). It is an elegant, intimate restaurant furnished in a contemporary style, with a touch of old time Prague.
V Zatisi serves fine cuisine, with an extensive list of first-class wines to accompany the meal. While standards of service are amongst the best in Prague, there is a relaxed, informal atmosphere; waiters are there to advise and to assist, but not to overwhelm.
The menu ranges from sea bass and pike perch, to beef fillet, lamb shank and venison. Desserts, like their sumptuous dark chocolate mousse, are delicious and plentiful.
V Zátiší has fixed pricing on their ŕ la carte menu, according to how many courses you order. The restaurant takes great pride in matching wines to food, so our recommendation would be to accept the waiters suggestion for the accompanying wines.
For the ultimate dining experience, order the 'Bohemian Menu' or the 'Degustation Menu', with the optional wines. These menus change frequently, and the restaurant manager happily admits that the best part of his job is designing the new menus and choosing wines to suit.
V Zatisi features regularly in our customer feedback, frequently scoring highly recommended.

A quiet, refined restaurant, V Zátiší is suitable for groups of all sizes. It can offer private areas for special occasions or business dinners. Advance reservations are essential.
