Motorists can drive directly into Prague without too much trouble, albeit that at rush hours there is a fair amount of congestion. On arrival, car parking is available all over the city; at public car parks, private car parks, hotel car parks and on the street.

Street parking is possible in many areas of Prague, with metres permitting stays of up to six hours during the day, and overnight. The roads off Wenceslas Square are some of the most accessible, for example at Washingtonova, near Muzeum Metro - map.
