The annual Czech Bigman Festival is held once more in Prague. Bigman is a mix of Terrain Triathlon and Long Distance Triathlon. The running, swimming and cycling take place at various locations throughout the city.

Prague events
Festival of the Grape & Wine Tasting at Prague Castle
Date: 16 September 2017 - 17 September 2017
Time: 10:00-18:00
Annual festival celebrating the grape harvest in the Royal Garden at Prague Castle. The first part of the festival is outside in the landscaped gardens where refreshment stalls serve food and drinks associated with harvest time, ranging from hot snacks to fine local wines to Burcak (partially fermented young wine). See also demonstrations of traditional crafts such as grape pressing and basket weaving, plus performances by folk singers and musicians.
Open 10:00-16:00. Admission: free.
The second part of the festival is a Moravian wine tasting event inside the adjacent Ball Games House, where visitors can sample excellent Czech wines at reasonable prices.
Open 11:00-18:00. Admission & tasting glass: 80czk. No need to book, tickets are available on the day.
Where: Royal Garden, Prague Castle, Castle District, Prague 1.
Travel: Metro station Malostranska (line A). Then take tram 22 up the hill and alight at tram stop Prazsky hrad (Prague Castle).

Prague Opera
Prague Opera, Ballet & Classical Concert listings & tickets

Prague is famous for opera, ballet and classical concerts. Performances take place in magnificent opera houses, stunning concert halls, and in an array of historic churches. Tickets are reasonably priced, so shows often sell out. Advance reservations are therefore highly recommended.

Visit a Prague theatre for a typically Czech experience. Black light theatre is a mix of dynamic dance routines, mime artists, animated film, and state-of-the-art visual and sound effects. While marionette theatre features giant puppets. Shows are highly visual, so appeal to adults and children of all ages and nationalities. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
