The Havel For President exhibition celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution by capturing the year 1989 in photography.

Villa Amerika - Dvorak Museum
Dvorak: Inspiration from Nature - Exhibition

Nature played a major role in the life of the famous Czech composer Antonín Dvorak, and had a strong impact on his work. He was an enthusiastic hiker, pigeon fancier and gardener. This exhibition includes many of Dvorak’s personal possessions, including his walking sticks, hats, flask and his book on birdsong.

This exhibition at the Historical Building of the National Museum is dedicated to the bravery of the Czechoslovak pilots who joined and flew with the Royal Air Force during World War II.

Fans of sci-fi, fantasy and horror will enjoy this international three-day festival dedicated to video games, board games, films, TV shows, comics, books, paintings and more.

Prague Carnival (Masopust) traces its roots back to medieval times, and is a celebration of human joy and gregariousness. Set hours for the various events are not generally adhered to, everything is far too free spirited for that! Just spend time in the Lesser Town and if you see colourfully dressed people and hear loud music, you know the carnival has arrived.
The Masks Parade is the most celebrated element of Prague Carnival. It starts at U Černého vola pub at Loretanske namesti near Prague Castle, winds down through the Lesser Town, and should arrive at Kampa Island around 3-4pm, where a party is held with live music and festival food and drinks on sale.

Cirkopolis is an international festival of contemporary circus, presenting innovative projects with elements of modern dance and music, and visual theatre effects.

Annual food festival held at Smichovska naplavka, an embankment on the left bank of the river. Visitors can taste typical Czech pork specialities including 'jitrnice', 'jelito', 'tlacenka', roast pork knee, ribs, goulash and more.

Prague is famous for its opera, ballet and classical concerts. Performances are held in magnificent opera houses, stunning concert halls, and in an array of churches and other historic buildings. Tickets are reasonably priced, so shows often sell out. Advance reservations are therefore highly recommended.
