This exhibition, held in the Gaming Parlours at Municipal House, celebrates the fashion designer Blanka Matragi's work. Dresses and accessories are the core exhibits, supplemented by sculptures, chandeliers, glass and porcelain objects, and art.

Birell Prague Grand Prix - Running Event
Birell Prague Grand Prix - Running Event
Dates: 05 September 2020
The final major running event of the season in Prague. Participants run through the illuminated historical streets at twilight. The event comprises a 10km Men's & Women's Race and Team Races.
Where: Starts (19:30)/Finishes at Republic Square (Namesti Republiky).

Burgerfest - Festival

Prices: 150 CZK. No need to book, tickets are available on the day.
Jack Daniel’s presents Burgerfest celebrating the American hamburger and BBQ food in general. Restaurants in Prague and Czech Republic that feature burgers on their menu compete to cook the best food for visitors to sample. There are also drinks stalls and live music.
Where: Krizik's Fountain, Prague Holesovice Exhibition Centre, Vystaviste, Prague 7.
Travel: Tram stop: Vystaviste; Metro station: Nadrazi Holesovice (line C) and walk 800 metres.

Prague Open Dance Festival
Prague Open Dance Festival
Dates: 11 September 2020 - 13 September 2020
The Prague Open Dance Festival is the largest international dance competition in the Czech Republic. Nearly 800 dance pairs from around the world take part in the event. To mark the 15th anniversary of the competition there is a unique show on the opening night, called Night of Nine. The highlight of the evening is a show of 9 World and European dance champions performing standard and Latin American dances.

Prague City Swim
Prague City Swim
Dates: 12 September 2020
A unique project inspired by Amsterdam City Swim and London City Swim aims to unite swimmers who would like to contribute to raise funds to fight ALS disease. In addition to swimming, people can also compete on paddle boards.

Prague events
Festival of the Grape & Wine Tasting at Prague Castle
Dates: 12 September 2020 - 13 September 2020
Times: 11:00-19:00
Annual festival celebrating the grape harvest in the Royal Garden at Prague Castle.
Part One is held in the landscaped gardens, where stalls serve food and drinks associated with harvest time, including local wines and Burcak (partially fermented young wine). There are also demonstrations of traditional crafts such as grape pressing and basket weaving, plus performances by folk singers and musicians.
Entry: free.
Part Two is Moravian wine tasting inside the adjacent Empire Greenhouse, where visitors can sample Czech wines at reasonable prices.
Entry & tasting glass: 150 CZK. No need to book, tickets are available on the day.
Where: Royal Garden at Prague Castle.
Travel: Metro station: Malostranska (line A). Then take tram 22 up the hill and alight at Tram stop: Prazsky hrad (Prague Castle).

Wenceslas Square
St. Wenceslas Market
Dates: 14 September 2020 - 28 September 2020
St. Wenceslas Market features wooden huts selling glassware, ceramics, wooden toys, candles, jewellery, puppets, embroidery and other local handicrafts. There is also local food and drinks on offer; grilled sausages, hams on spits, pastries, Czech beer and hot mulled wine.

Prague is hosting another series of the Canoe Slalom World Cup in Troja, the water sports area of the city.

Czech Speedway juniors compete in one of the Czech championship races. The race will be important in determining the final rankings.

Day of the Czech Statehood - Public Holiday
Dates: 28 September 2020
Public holiday in Prague. Commemorates St. Wenceslas, patron saint of the Czech Republic, and his murder by his brother in 935.
Prague sightseeing and entertainment operate as normal. Shops have limited opening times.

St. Wenceslas Vines Festival at Villa Richter

The St. Wenceslas Vines Festival runs annually on St. Wenceslas's Day, 28th September, to celebrate both the Czech patron saint and the grape harvest. It takes place on the hillside below Prague Castle at St. Wenceslas Vineyard, which is in the grounds of Villa Richter. Sample newly fermented wines and the best finished wines from previous years. For entertainment there are knightly contests, live music and dance. Even St. Wenceslas should put in an appearance!
Where: St. Wenceslas Vineyard (Svatováclavská vinice), Villa Richter, Staré zámecké schody 6, Castle District, Prague 1.
Travel: Metro station: Malostranska (line A). Walk out to the main road and turn left. Walk up the road 75m and just before the pink building on the left, turn left into Stare zamecke schody (Old Castle Steps). The vineyard is 200m up the steps on the right-hand side.

Prague is famous for its opera, ballet and classical concerts. Performances are held in magnificent opera houses, stunning concert halls, and in an array of churches and other historic buildings. Tickets are reasonably priced, so shows often sell out. Advance reservations are therefore highly recommended.

Visit a Prague theatre for a typically Czech experience. Black light theatre is a mix of dynamic dance routines, mime artists, animated film, and state-of-the-art visual and audio effects. While marionette theatre features giant puppets. Shows are highly visual, so appeal to adults and children of all ages and nationalities. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
