The Vinohrady Wine Festival is held annually at Námestí Jirího z Podebrad, a local Square just outside the city centre. Inspired by the period of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, the festival is attended by winemakers from all over Central Europe, including small, independent Czech and Moravian wine merchants. There is plenty of local food to taste too, plus live music.

Located outside the city centre, Dyzajn is the biggest open-air market for creative work in Prague. Stalls stock original artwork and design pieces by 180 designers, including pieces of art, jewellery and accessories, handbags, China, decorations, clothes and toys. There is also live music, creative workshops, children's theatre and fashion shows. Entry is free.

Wine Festival at Prague Castle
Wine Festival at Prague Castle

Annual festival celebrating the grape harvest in the Royal Garden at Prague Castle.
Part 1. Festival: Held in the castle's landscaped gardens, stalls serve food and drinks associated with harvest time, including local wines and Burcak (partially fermented young wine). There are also demonstrations of traditional crafts such as grape pressing and basket weaving, plus performances by folk singers and musicians. Entry: free.
Part 2. Moravian Wine Tasting: held inside the Empire Greenhouse, visitors can sample a variety of Czech wines at reasonable prices.
Entry & Tasting Glass: 120 CZK. No need to book, Tickets are available on the day.

The composer Antonín Dvorák was one of the few Czech composers to be famous in his lifetime. This exhibition at the Antonín Dvorák Museum explores his musical achievements through his artifacts and photographs of the events surrounding his life.
