Prague Easter Markets 2024

The Prague Easter Markets are open daily at the Old Town Square. Wooden huts display traditional handicrafts, such as glassware, embroidered lace, jewellery and hand-painted Easter eggs. Local food and drinks are also available: sausages, hams on spits, pastries, Czech beer and hot mulled wine. Entry is free. | |

Easter Concerts

Witches' Night Parade (Paleni Carodejnic) DATES: 30 April 2024 TIMES: 18:00 | |
Witches' Night is an ancient folk festival held across the Czech Republic to mark the end of winter and the start of spring. It is a cross between Halloween and May Day, in which an effigy of a witch, said to resemble winter (or perhaps a historical reference to witch-hunting), is burnt on pyres. In Prague, a lantern parade starts around 6pm at the Lesser Town Square, and proceeds to Kampa Park to burn the witch around 7pm. | |
