St. Martin's Wine Festival by the River

PRICE: Free Entry. Tasting glass 100 CZK | | | Czech folklore tells us that on 11th November, St. Martin rides in on a white horse. He brings with him the first snows of winter. In celebration, Czech people eat roast goose combined with the young wines from the year's grape harvest (St. Martin's Wine). Held on the river embankment in Prague, St. Martin's Wine Festival celebrates this tradition: market stalls sell wines by the glass and bottle; a variety of food is on offer; and there is an accompanying musical programme. | |
