PERFORMANCE DETAILS St. Nicholas Church at Old Town Square is one of the foremost venues in Prague for classical music concerts. Its prime location on Old Town Square, combined with a high dome and magnificent frescoes, creates a true sense of occasion. The concert is performed by the Vivaldi Orchestra Praga, a company of talented musicians who specialise in early music, playing on authentic instruments. Musicians performing at St. Nicholas also appear with the National Theatre, the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, and the Czech Philharmonic. The concert opens with 'The Four Seasons'. Vivaldi's music was popular in Prague during the composer's lifetime. Between 1726-1736, six of his operas, including two premieres, were performed in the city.
