PERFORMANCE DETAILS St. Nicholas at Old Town Square is one of the foremost churches in Prague for classical music concerts. Its prime location on Old Town Square, combined with a high dome and magnificent frescos, creates a true sense of occasion. The concert is performed by the Vivaldi Orchestra Praga, a company of talented musicians who specialise in early music, playing on authentic instruments. Musicians appearing at St. Nicholas also play for the National Theatre, Czech National Symphony Orchestra and the Czech Philharmonic. The concert opens with 'The Four Seasons'. Vivaldi's music was very popular in Prague during the composer's lifetime. Between 1726-1736, six of his operas, including two premieres, were performed in the city.
