PERFORMANCE DETAILS This special Christmas Concert is performed in the historic Mirror Chapel at the Klementinum in the Old Town by the Dvořák Symphony Orchestra Prague.
The Mirror Chapel is the most beautiful Baroque concert hall in Prague. It houses two 18th century organs, one played by W.A. Mozart on his visits to the Klementinum.
The Dvořák Symphony Orchestra Prague is composed of eminent musicians from leading Czech orchestras: the Czech Philharmonic, Prague Symphony, and the National Theatre Orchestra.
In addition to performing regularly in Prague, the orchestra has undertaken highly successful tours of Europe, the USA, Japan and South Korea.
Joining the orchestra on stage in the concert are three of Prague's foremost soloists. The concert concludes with 'The Four Seasons'. Vivaldi's music was popular in Prague during the composer's lifetime. Between 1726-1736, six of his operas, including two premieres, were performed in the city.
