PERFORMANCE DETAILS The Four Seasons, Bolero & Carmen is a special New Year's concert. It features a selection of popular classical music, performed in the beautifully renovated concert hall at Liechtenstein Palace on Lesser Town Square. Liechtenstein Palace was built in 1591 in the Baroque style, and remodelled in the Classical style in the 18th century. Today, it is home to the Academy of Performing Arts, providing a fitting venue for concerts.
The concert is performed by the Parnas Ensemble, an acclaimed string quintet composed of musicians from the Prague Symphony Orchestra and the Czech Philharmonic. The setting and the powerful melodic tunes summon the spirit of 17th- and 18th-century Prague. At any moment, one expects Vivaldi himself to pull up in a horse-drawn carriage!
