Tanec Praha (Dance Prague) has been the city's major dance festival since its inception in 1989. Participants come from all over the world, competing for prizes in various categories, including classic, contemporary, jazz and folk, as well as choreography and other performances associated with the art of dance.

Old Town Square
Prague - Heart of Nations Folklore Festival
Date: 28 May 2014 - 01 June 2014
The 16th International meeting of folklore groups runs over four days on an open-air stage at the Old Town Square in Prague. Folk groups travel from around the world to perform their unique style of folk music.

Prague Microbrewery Beer Festival 2014
Prague Microbrewery Beer Festival 2014
Date: 13 June 2014 - 14 June 2014. Time: 12:00-22:00.
Price: 350czk
The festival celebrates the country's microbreweries, many of which are presenting their finest brews today - more than 120 kinds of beers are available to taste from several dozen microbreweries. The price of admission includes a tasting glass and a brochure.
No need to book, just turn up.
Where: Royal Gardens at the back of Prague Castle.
The entrance is near to tram stop St. Chotkovy sady.
Travel: Metro station Malostranska (line A). Then take tram 22 up the hill towards Prazsky hrad (Prague Castle) and alight at St. Chotkovy sady tram stop.

The Prague Proms annual music festival is a series of classical concerts organised by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra. These are held at their Prague home, Municipal House, in the stunning Smetana Hall, the largest auditorium in the building.

Prague Opera
Prague Opera, Ballet & Classical Concert listings & tickets
Dates: June 2014
Prague is famous for opera, ballet and classical concerts. Performances take place in three magnificent opera houses, in stunning concert halls and in an array of beautiful historic churches. Tickets are reasonably priced, so shows often sell out. Advance reservations are therefore highly recommended.

Visit the Prague theatre for a typically Czech experience.
Black light theatre is a highly charged mix of dynamic dance, mime, singers, film, and state-of-the-art visual and sound effects. And marionette theatre features giant puppets. Shows are highly visual to appeal to adults and children of all ages and nationalities. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
