| Lucerna is a large underground music bar and event venue located close to Wenceslas Square. On Friday and Saturday nights it hosts Prague's best 80s & 90s themed video party. A DJ plays the greatest hits of the 1980s and 90s, while a large screen by the dance floor shows the original videos from the time. You won't believe how many great tunes (and their accompanying videos) were created in these decades until you visit Lucerna — certainly enough to keep the lively, mostly young Czech clubbers dancing all night long. During the week, Lucerna stages gigs by local Czech and international bands. The layout of the venue lends a real ambience to the concerts. The dance floor wraps around a semi-circular stage, enabling the crowd to get up really close to the performers. There is also a viewing area upstairs. Lucerna's drink prices are very reasonable, with Czech beer, wine, spirits and cocktails on sale at several bars dotted around the club.
