Currency in Prague: Czech Crown.
Located just off the Old Town Square on the corner of Kaprova and Maiselova streets, eXchange is the best place for currency exchange in Prague.
The rates at eXchange are generally better than those offered by the banks, and much better than most of the currency exchange booths.
The building is secure and the staff are trustworthy. And the exchange rates are consistent with the daily movements in the international currency markets.
eXchange accepts all major currencies, including Euros, Pounds Sterling, US Dollars, Japanese Yen, Canadian Dollars, Australian Dollars, Swiss Francs, Danish Krone, Norwegian Krone, Swedish Krona, the Zloty, Forint and Kuna. They accept all denominations.
It is worth noting that they prefer newer notes, without writing on them. For example, with Pounds Sterling the notes must not have marks on the Queen's head. It is probably worth taking a few spare notes in case any are rejected.
For larger amounts (changing into 100,000czk or more), eXchange offers VIP rates which are slightly better than their standard rates.
More information on currency exchange is contained within our Prague tourist information guide.
