|The Medieval Tavern on New Year's Eve is the finest, most authentic medieval banquet in Prague.|
Set in a historic building in the Old Town which dates from 1402, this is an all-inclusive night of hearty food, free flowing drinks, and dramatic live entertainment.
Entry is by ticket, which must be purchased in advance via the book button on this page.
As you enter the Medieval Tavern, the sights and smells transport you back through the ages. Guests are seated at dark wooden tables lit by candlelight. The hustle and bustle of entertainers and scrumptious serving wenches is all around. And above, ropes hang down from thick, gnarled beams.
An extensive historical show plays out all around. Among the many performers are swordsmen, jugglers, fire breathers and beautiful dancers, all dressed in costumes from the Middle Ages.
Medieval musicians stroll around, and a fortune-teller may reveal your destiny. But beware the executioner!
A hearty, 'All You Can Eat' Medieval Feast is served during the show. The cooking is first-class and features medieval and traditional Czech food, including roast duck, chicken, pork, grilled sausages, Prague ham, chicken wings, pancakes, cheese, and home-made cakes. On the night, order whatever you wish from the menu, whenever you like.
A vegetarian option is available, and will feature choices such as salads, grilled vegetables, risotto, pasta, etc. (if required, state it in Special Requests on the booking form).
Unlimited Czech beer, wine and soft drinks is included. Food and drink is always plentiful at the Medieval Tavern!
At Midnight: Toast in the New Year at the Medieval Tavern with your complimentary glass of sparkling wine.
Alternatively, it is 3 minutes walk to the Old Town Square and 6 minutes to the River, where there are fireworks.
The ancient Medieval Tavern building has been expertly restored. It has a highly authentic feel, but gives a welcome nod to 21st century comforts and hygiene, which ensures a fine experience for everyone.
The Medieval Tavern always sells out on New Year's Eve, so advance reservations are essential.
