|The Medieval Tavern is a large historic restaurant in the Old Town in Prague. It lays on the finest New Year's Eve medieval banquet in the city, an all-inclusive night of hearty food, free flowing drinks and first-class entertainment.
Entry is by ticket, which must be purchased in advance via the book button on this page.
As you enter the Medieval Tavern, the sights and smells transport you back through the ages. Guests are seated at dark wooden tables lit by candlelight. The hustle and bustle of entertainers and scrumptious serving wenches is all around, and above, ropes hang down from thick gnarled beams.
An extensive historical show plays out all around you. Among the many performers are swordsmen, jugglers and beautiful dancers dressed in costumes from the Middle Ages.
Medieval musicians stroll about and a fortune-teller may reveal your destiny, but beware the executioner!
A hearty 'All You Can Eat' 4 course dinner is included, with choices on the night for each course: menu choices.
The cooking is first-class, with medieval and traditional Czech dishes on offer, featuring roast duck, chicken and pork, grilled sausages, Prague ham, chicken wings, cheese and home-made cakes.
Unlimited Czech beer, wine and soft drinks are also included. Food and drink is always plentiful at the Medieval Tavern!
The Medieval Tavern building dates from the year 1402. Expertly restored, it has a highly authentic feel, but gives a welcome nod to 21st century comforts and hygiene. This ensures a fine experience for everyone.
At Midnight: toast in the New Year at the tavern with your complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Alternatively, the Old Town Square is just 2 minutes walk away, where there are fireworks.
The Medieval Tavern always sells out on New Year's Eve, so advance reservations are essential.-----------------------------------------------
