Adore Restaurant in the Old Town
in Prague is a warm, contemporary restaurant with a stylish simplicity about it; it has red seating, plenty of solid woods and ambient lighting.
Adore offers modern fine dining based around French cuisine, with influences of Asian and Eastern European cooking.
The French head chef, Fabien Guilly, has plenty of experience working in Michelin star restaurants, so has been bold with his approach, creating innovative, delightfully tasty food using his own mix of ingredients.
The menu is well balanced, but small enough to ensure every dish is fresh and bursting with flavour. The beef is succulent, the duck is tender, and Adore has fresh fish brought in daily. This includes pan fried North Sea scallops, sea bass and Dover sole (a delicious sea fish hardly found in Prague).
Vegetables are served soft and yet crunchy, and the puree is creamy. Plus there is a black truffle risotto and gnocchi.
Starters include a Kamchatka crab salad and foie gras, whilst the most popular dessert is called '100% Chocolate'! There is also a lovely selection of French cheeses.
For a longer gastronomic experience try the Tasting Menu, which comprises of some of the chef's finest dishes. This has an optional wine package too, which includes specially matched wines with every course.
Adore stocks a terrific range of high quality Czech and International wines to suit all budgets, and the sommelier will happily offer advice on choosing the right wine to accompany your meal.
The service at Adore Restaurant is thorough, but not too formal, with a friendliness that you find in more recently opened modern restaurants in Prague.
The background music adds to the contemporary feel, but is kept low to ensure guests of all ages enjoy their visit.
In the warmer months Adore has tables outside for al-fresco dining, to watch the world go by on the square outside.
Adore is very well located, being just three minutes walk from both the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square. But it is just off the main pedestrian routes, so prices are very reasonable for the quality of dining. It is somewhat of a hidden gem, something we at Prague Experience like to seek out.
Adore opened in 2015. To make a new restaurant work requires something special. With its perfect balance of atmosphere, service and original cuisine, it is challenging the more established restaurants.
Ideal for a romantic dinner, but equally for other leisure and business occasions.
TIP: Book a table through Prague Experience and receive a free welcome drink: Glass of Bortolomiol Prosecco.
