A full day trip to the beautiful medieval town of Cesky Krumlov.
Located in the south of the Czech Republic, Cesky Krumlov is protected by UNESCO as a world heritage site. It is one of the country's most attractive places to visit after Prague.
This excursion is part by air-conditioned coach, part on foot.
After picking you up from your Prague hotel, we drive for around 2½ hours through the scenic Bohemian countryside to reach Cesky Krumlov.
We begin our guided walking tour with a stroll through the formal gardens and courtyards of Cesky Krumlov Castle, before walking down to explore the town's historic centre; the quaint old streets are lined with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque houses once belonging to wealthy noblemen.
There is then a few hours free time to choose a café or restaurant for lunch (price is not included), to browse the charming small shops, and to enjoy a stroll along the banks of the lovely winding river.
Mid-afternoon we meet again for our guided visit of the main attraction, the mighty Renaissance Cesky Krumlov Castle, once the seat of powerful lords, the Romberks and the Schwarzenbergs. The castle houses a rich collection of paintings, period furniture, Flemish tapestries, historical weapons, and intricate china, glassware and jewellery.
After the castle, we commence our journey back to Prague.
Prague Experience sightseeing tours are in English and another language. They are led by professional, licensed tourist guides and use modern, air-conditioned mini-coaches.
If you require a tour in French, German, Italian, Russian or Spanish, please specify on the booking form.
At the end of the tour, the coach will drop you back off at your hotel.
