A full day trip from Prague to the beautiful medieval town of Cesky Krumlov.

Located in the south of the Czech Republic, Cesky Krumlov is protected as a UNESCO world heritage site. It is one of the country's most attractive places to visit after Prague.

This excursion is part by air-conditioned coach, part on foot.

After picking you up from your Prague hotel, we drive for around 2˝ hours through the scenic Bohemian countryside to reach Cesky Krumlov.

We begin our guided walking tour with a stroll through the formal gardens and courtyards of Cesky Krumlov Castle, once the seat of powerful lords, the Rožmberks and the Schwarzenbergs.

The interiors of the castle buildings are closed in 2020, but by walking through the gardens we are able to see the outside of the mighty Renaissance castle up close.

Next, we walk down to explore the town's historic centre; the quaint old streets are lined with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque houses once belonging to wealthy noblemen.

In the afternoon there are a couple of hours free time for you to browse the charming small shops, enjoy a stroll along the banks of the winding river, and choose a café or restaurant for lunch (lunch is not included in the price of the tour).

Late afternoon, we commence the journey back to Prague.

Prague Experience sightseeing tours are in English and another language. They are led by professional licensed tourist guides and use modern, air-conditioned mini-coaches.

If you require a tour in French, German, Italian, Russian or Spanish, please specify on the booking form.

At the end of the tour, the coach will drop you back off at your hotel.

Note: In the winter season, we offer a different version of this trip - Cesky Krumlov Winter Sightseeing Tour.
