Prague Mardi Gras can trace its roots back to medieval times, and is a celebration of human joy and gregariousness. View colourfully dressed people playing loud music parading through the Lesser Town. The parade sets off at 1pm from U Černého vola pub at Loretanske namesti, near Prague Castle. It winds down through the Lesser Town, via the old taverns lining Nerudova and Thunovská streets, reaching Kampa Island around 4pm. A party is then held, featuring live music and festival food and drinks. Perhaps wear a mask if you want to fit in! | |
