St. John's NAVALIS - Baroque River Festival

Dating from 1627, the St. John's NAVALIS Festival features a flotilla of colourfully lit historical Venetian
boats sailing on the Vltava River near Charles Bridge. Venetian gondoliers travel to Prague to take part in the celebration. An open air Baroque concert provides music for the event. The evening starts with a religious procession from Prague Castle, winding its way down the Royal Route to Charles Bridge. To watch, head for Prague Castle at 19:00 or Charles Bridge (or the river embankment nearby) at 19:45. TIMETABLE: 19:00: Procession leaves Prague Castle, winding its way down through the Lesser Town to Charles Bridge. 19:45: Regatta of historical boats on the river around Charles Bridge. 20:30: Baroque music concert played from a pontoon on the river, accompanied by a light show. | |
