|The Prague Explorer Tour & Boat Trip is a full day of exploration and discovery.
A friendly local guide leads us on a wonderous journey through Prague, to uncover its dramatic history and legends, and to experience the city from all perspectives: from high above at Prague Castle, from the cobbled streets of the historical centre, and from the Vltava River.
This sightseeing tour is part by air-conditioned coach, part by boat, but mainly on foot (some of the city's finest areas are only accessible on foot).
After meeting your guide in the Old Town, we board the coach for the transfer up to Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle complex in the world.
We embark on a 2-hour walking tour of the castle, to discover St. Vitus Cathedral and the other magnificent buildings contained within.
We'll bring the castle to life with stories of where kings were crowned and battles were fought, and admire the spectacular views over the city.
Tip: One advantage of visiting the castle on a guided tour is that we will be escorted in via the shortest security queue.
Next, we walk down into the Lesser Town, to see the beautiful old buildings and churches in this most picturesque quarter of Prague.
Then it's time for a well deserved break, with a 50-minute boat trip sailing around Charles Bridge and the heart of the city. On board you are served a complementary drink and snack.
Back on dry land, we cross Charles Bridge, taking in the fairy-tale views over the river, before entering the Old Town to learn some of the traditions and legends connected to this fascinating area of the city.
We also visit the Jewish Quarter, once the largest Jewish ghetto in Europe.
Whilst in the Old Town, we stop off at a 15th century medieval tavern to enjoy a traditional Czech pub lunch. There is a choice of food on offer, including a vegetarian option, and it is served with either a beer or soft drink.
Prague Experience walking tours are led by professional licensed tourist guides.
The tour is in English as standard. If you require a tour in French, German, Italian, Russian or Spanish, state it in Special Requests on the booking form.
The trip finishes in the Old Town.
Note: The order of the itinerary is subject to change in the event of traffic or adverse weather conditions.
Tip: The boat trip sails through the heart of Prague only, whereas our dinner and lunch cruises travel much further, and include a delicious meal and live music. Therefore, if you wish to book this sightseeing tour plus a dinner cruise for one evening, you will enjoy both as they offer different experiences.
