| | | | Thomas Bata was a successful Czech entrepreneur of the early 20th century. Here in his home of Czechia, Bata shoe shops and superstores are located throughout the country. The Bata brand is also well-known abroad. The Bata store on Wenceslas Square in Prague is the biggest Bata shop in Europe and reaches up 5 floors. It is also by far the largest shoe shop of any brand in Prague. For good quality, hard-wearing ladies, men's and children's shoes, including sports trainers and boots, Bata is the shoe shop of choice for many people. Staff are fast and efficient, and helpful with sizing, in particular with fittings for children's shoes. In the winter especially, tourists may find good quality shoes at Bata that they would find hard to source at home, most notably winter boots - it snows a lot in Prague! |
