This exhibition at the National Museum New Building reveals the remarkable beauty and diversity of animal species on Earth, and draws attention to modern dangers that put it at risk. Displays include animals that once roamed freely in the Czech lands, such as brown bears, elk and beavers, plus African animals, and extinct animals such as a full dinosaur skeleton.

Municipal House
Blanka Matragi, fashion designer - Exhibition

This exhibition, held in the Gaming Parlours at Municipal House, celebrates the fashion designer Blanka Matragi's 30 years of work. Dresses and accessories are the core exhibits, supplemented by sculptures, glass, porcelain and graphic art.

Price: 470czk-530czk (includes Glencairn whisky glass and a festival brochure). Tickets are available on the day.
"Drams" are the currency at the event, which you purchase on arrival, and exchange at the stalls for tastings. 1 Dram = 30czk.
The annual Whisky Life! Prague festival offers visitors the chance to taste from over 150 whiskies and bourbons.

Day of the Struggle for Liberty & Democracy - Public Holiday
Date: 17 November 2017
Public holiday. Commemorates the student demonstration against Nazi occupation in 1939, and more famously the mass demonstration that started the Velvet Revolution in 1989.
Prague sightseeing and entertainment operate as normal. Shops have limited opening times.

Prague is famous for opera, ballet and classical concerts. Performances take place in several magnificent opera houses, stunning concert halls, and in an array of historic churches. Tickets are reasonably priced, so shows often sell out. Advance reservations are therefore highly recommended.

Prague Theatre

Visit a Prague theatre for a typically Czech experience. Black light theatre is a mix of dynamic dance routines, mime artists, animated film, and state-of-the-art visual and sound effects. While marionette theatre features giant puppets. Shows are highly visual, so appeal to adults and children of all ages and nationalities. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
