This exhibition, held in the Gaming Parlours at Municipal House, celebrates the fashion designer Blanka Matragi's work. Dresses and accessories are the core exhibits, supplemented by sculptures, chandeliers, glass and porcelain objects, and art.

This exhibition at the Historical Building of the National Museum explores the relations between the Czechs and Slovaks, showing the things that have united and divided the two nations over the years. Some of the real-life stories are fascinating.

Don Giovanni enjoys a spring run at the Estates Theatre in Prague. In 1787, Mozart personally conducted the world premiere of the opera at this very theatre. Impressive set designs, period costumes and a superb cast create a true sense of occasion.

The National Museum in Prague is celebrating 200 years of its existence. This exhibition marks the occasion with a display of 200 of the most important and interesting artefacts from the museum's collections. Through these items the exhibition tells the story of the National Museum from its foundation to the present day.

This exhibition at the New Building of the National Museum explores the world of the Celts in Central Europe in prehistoric times. Archaeological finds have revealed the everyday life of the Celts, including their intricate craftsmanship and religious rituals. The National Museum holds one of the most extensive archaeological collections of Celtic artefacts in Europe.

Czech Repubrick - LEGO Exhibition

The Czech Repubrick is a display of Czech monuments built entirely from LEGO. Constructed at Hamleys in Prague, it features St. Vitus Cathedral, Karlstejn Castle and a LEGO roller coaster. 2.5 tons of LEGO bricks were used to create the exhibition.

Wooden huts decorated with the colours of spring create a magical atmosphere. Browse the stalls stocked with local handicrafts, and sample traditional Czech food and drinks.

Festival of Rosé Wines

Prices: 200 CZK. Includes degustation glass and festival brochure. No need to book, tickets are available on the day.
Celebrate the month of love with a glass of rosé! The festival takes place on the hillside below Prague Castle at St. Wenceslas Vineyard, which is in the grounds of Villa Richter. Several dozen wineries present their rosés, totalling over 100 different bottles to taste from. There is also food on offer to accompany your drinks.
Where: St. Wenceslas Vineyard (Svatováclavská vinice), Villa Richter, Staré zámecké schody 6, Castle District, Prague 1.
Travel: Metro station: Malostranska (line A). Walk out to the main road and turn left. Walk up the road 75m and just before the pink building on the left, turn left to take the Stare Zamecke Schody (Old Castle Steps). The vineyard is around 200m up the steps on the right-hand side.

Petrin Hill & Lookout Tower

Petrin Hill is the romantic setting for couples in love to spend a few hours together, after placing flowers at the feet of a statue of the celebrated 19th century poet, Karel Hynek Macha. Macha created several myths, a few illegitimate offspring and an epic poem called 'May'. Thus, lovers make a pilgrimage in his name and find a quiet corner to, well, er, let's say no more.

Prague Marathon Weekend

The Prague Marathon has one of the most beautiful courses in the world. The race winds through the historic city centre, over bridges and along the Vltava River. The race is on the Sunday, but the build up starts on Saturday with a weekend of activities, including relay and corporate team marathons.

Public holiday in Prague. Celebrates the end of World War II. Although Soviet tanks rolled in to liberate the Czech Republic a day later than elsewhere, on the 9th May 1945, VE Day is celebrated on the 8th May in line with other former Communist countries "liberated" by the Russians.

The annual Prague Food Festival celebrates the culinary skills of the top restaurant chefs in the Czech Republic. The festival takes place in a large outdoor setting at Vysehrad Park. Wander around the stalls and sample local and international dishes, along with wines, sparking wines and Czech beers. There is also a children’s area with entertainment and cooking instruction.
