Euro 2021 may be held in 12 cities across the European continent, but Prague is a good city to watch the live television coverage in. Prague draws fans from around the world, who combine a city break with watching their nation's fortunes on the big screen.
Huge screens erected at the Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square show the top games. Alternatively, catch all the action on a large projection screen at one of the city's sports bars.

Saints Cyril & Methodius Day - Public Holiday
Dates: 05 July 2021
Public holiday. Saints Cyril and Methodius were Byzantine Greek brothers born in Thessalonica in the 9th century. They became missionaries of Christianity among the Slavic people, and through their work influenced the cultural development of all Slavs. The day commemorates the creation of the Slavic Glagolitic and Cyrillic alphabets as well as the introduction of literacy and the preaching of the gospels in the Slavonic language.
Prague sightseeing & entertainment operate as normal. Shops have limited opening times.

Jan Hus Day - Public Holiday
Dates: 06 July 2021
Public holiday. Commemorates the burning at the stake of the religious thinker, church reformer and preacher Jan Hus in 1415. His statue takes pride of place in the Old Town Square.

Prague Folklore Days
Dates: 22 July 2021 - 25 July 2021
The 15th annual international meeting of folk groups in Prague runs over four days on open air stages at the Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square and Republic Square. Amateur folk groups travel from many countries to present their own style of folklore. On Saturday afternoon there is a parade through the Old Town.
