Prague Explorer Tour + Boat Trip

Of all our Prague tours, the Explorer is the most comprehensive. We experience the city from all perspectives: from high above at Prague Castle; from the cobbled streets of the historic centre; and from a boat sailing on the Vltava River.

This sightseeing tour is partly by air-conditioned bus, partly by boat, but mostly on foot (Prague’s finest areas are pedestrianised).

After picking you up from your Prague hotel, we begin the tour with a drive to Prague Castle, where we embark on a 2-hour walking tour of the largest ancient castle complex in the world.

Your guide brings the castle to life with stories of where kings were crowned and battles were fought. We visit St. Vitus Cathedral and see the other magnificent buildings within the castle walls. We also take in the spectacular views over the city.

Next, we walk down into the Lesser Town to discover the beautiful buildings and churches in this most picturesque quarter of Prague.

It's now time for a well-deserved break, with a 50-minute boat trip sailing around Charles Bridge and the historic centre. Refreshments are available to purchase on board.

Back on dry land, we cross Charles Bridge, taking in the fairy-tale views over the river, before entering the Old Town to learn about the traditions and legends connected with this fascinating area of the city.

We then stop at a historic tavern to enjoy a traditional Czech pub lunch. There are several dishes to choose from, including a vegetarian option. You are also served a Czech beer or soft drink.

Finally, we visit the Jewish Quarter, once the largest Jewish ghetto in Europe.

The tour finishes in the Old Town.

Tip: The boat trip sails around the city centre only, whereas our lunch and dinner cruises travel much further and include a delicious multi-course meal and live music. If you wish to book this tour as well as a cruise, you will enjoy both, as they offer different experiences.
