The Medieval Tavern in Prague is the original and most authentic medieval banquet in the city. Set in a historical building dating from 1402 in the Old Town, this all-inclusive night out features hearty food, unlimited drinks, and dramatic live entertainment and music.
Entry is by ticket, which must be purchased in advance via the book button on this page. As you enter the Medieval Tavern, the sights and smells transport you back in time to the Middle Ages. Guests are seated at dark wooden tables lit by candlelight. Above you, thick ropes hang from gnarled beams and vaulted stone ceilings. Around the room, the hustle and bustle of scrumptious serving wenches and strapping tavern lads fills the air, as platters of roasted meats and flagons of ale are delivered to tables with hearty cheer.
An extensive historical show unfolds all around, with entertainers dressed in authentic medieval costumes moving through the restaurant as they perform. Expect swordsmen, jugglers, fire breathers, and beautiful dancers. Medieval musicians stroll among the guests, playing a variety of instruments. And a fortune-teller may reveal your destiny. But beware the executioner!
A generous three-course feast is served during the show. The cooking is first-class, with portions as large as you like. Each person you are booking for can choose one of these menus:
1. Classic Medieval. 2. Chicken & Duck. 3. Fish. 4. Gluten-free. 5. Vegetarian. 6. Vegan. 7. Children's Menu.
State your menu choice(s) in Special Requests on the booking form. If you leave it blank, you will be served the Classic Medieval Menu. Unlimited Czech beer, wine, and soft drinks are included. Food and drinks are always plentiful at the Medieval Tavern!
The ancient Medieval Tavern building has been expertly restored. It provides for a highly authentic feel, but with a welcome nod to 21st-century comforts and hygiene. This ensures a fine experience for guests of all ages.
