Double Trouble is a large historic bar and club in the Old Town, just 2 minutes walk from both Wenceslas Square and the Old Town Square. Double Trouble is the most popular Gothic cellar club in Prague, and rightfully so. It has been beautifully restored and is worth a visit at any time from early evening through to the early hours. A small entrance at street level leads down via wooden stairs to a smart complex of rooms below, where you'll find scrubbed stone, illuminated bars, welcoming bar staff and lively music. DJs play every night, creating a good party atmosphere whenever there is a decent crowd in. The music is MTV Dance, Progressive House and the best of the 80s-90s. Drinks are reasonably priced and the atmosphere builds through to midnight when the real dancing begins. People dance on chairs, they dance on tables, and even on the bar. In fact, that's the norm! Double Trouble is Prague nightlife at its best. It's an all round venue, so if you're a big club man forget it. But if you enjoy a local party atmosphere in historic settings, Double Trouble is the place. |
