Visas ARE ALSO NOT required in the following circumstances:• Schengen (short-stay) visa: where tourist visitors arrive with a Schengen visa, either directly into Czechia or via another Schengen Area country, no further visa is required (provided the Schengen visa was not issued by another EU country with a status of limited territorial validity, which is rarely the case). • Family members of EU citizens: if a family member of an EU citizen is not an EU citizen themself, but they hold a temporary or permanent residence permit in another EU country, they do not require a visa. Visas ARE required by visitors not covered by the above: If you require a visa, you must apply for a Schengen (short-term) visa, which allows a stay of up to 90 days. Please note:
• Visas must be obtained in advance of travel. They are not available at border crossings or at Prague Airport. If you arrive without a required visa, you will be refused entry to Czechia.
