Jama is a buzzing American-style bar located close to Wenceslas Square and Rocky O´Reillys Irish Pub. Jama is popular with tourists, but there are plenty of Prague locals (Czechs and expats) who enjoy the lively atmosphere and good old American bar music too. Pictures of Hendrix, Clapton and the Beatles line the cellar-like walls, and the friendly staff ensure you’re never short of a drink. There are good draught Czech beers, as well as wines and an extensive cocktail list. And as the bar is on a back street, the prices are very reasonable. In the summer you can enjoy a drink outside in the Oasis Beer Garden, but many still chose to drink inside. The garden does not have quite the atmosphere of the pub. Jama is one of only a few bars in Prague to show American sports. The screen is not the best, but for American Football, Ice Hockey and Baseball this may be your first pub in Prague to try. If you are not sure where to go in Prague, drop in to Jama for a drink and sit at the bar. Hopefully you'll strike up a conversation to get you on your way; a number of expats think of Jama as their local. |
