The Londoners is a British pub and sports bar located 5 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square, just up the road from the ever-popular Rocky O’Reillys Irish Pub. The decor at the Londoners is straight forward, modern and functional, not a traditional British pub by any measure, but none-the-less it is clean and tidy, and a pleasant enough place to spend a few hours enjoying drinks and watching live sports.
A variety of sports are shown on a large screen and TVs dotted around the room; if there is a match you particularly want to watch, whether it be football, rugby, cricket, American football, basketball or F1, the staff will do their best to find it for you. It's a friendly bar. Staff offer a warm welcome to a mostly tourist crowd, ranging from couples to stag parties and hen nights. And they are not all British. In addition to watching Premier League matches, visitors from all over come to watch Bundesliga, Champions League, NFL and NBA games. For drinks, there is Czech beer, Guinness and cider on tap, plus cocktails, spirits and wine by the glass. And if you are feeling peckish while watching the sports, the pub has an Indian chef who prepares tasty curries, and authentic British pub food such as fish and chips, cheeseburgers, and even a nice English Breakfast. The Londoners is located just off the beaten Prague track, so it really depends on the night as to how busy it is. But with several large hotels and stag apartments located in the vicinity, plus reasonably priced beer on tap, it can attract a crowd when a big football match is on, particularly at weekends. |
