Suk Hall at the Rudolfinum is a most elegant venue for classical concerts. The hall seats 192 people, and is perfectly suited to the celebrated chamber orchestras and pianists that perform classical concerts and recitals here throughout the year.
Suk Hall forms part of the stunning Rudolfinum, one of the foremost Neo-Renaissance buildings in Prague. It is set in a commanding position by the river in the Old Town, surrounded by landscaped gardens, and with a grand sweeping entrance.
The Rudolfinum is the seat of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Ensembles formed of eminent musicians from the orchestra regularly perform in the Suk Hall.
Other rooms inside the Rudolfinum include a gallery, library, shop, four bars, and a traditional café, Café Rudolfinum. If you are attending a concert, you will find the café and bars are elegant places to enjoy a pre-concert glass of wine or beer.
Historically, the Rudolfinum played an important role in the development of the newly formed state of Czechoslovakia in the early 20th century. The national parliament, for example, was sited here between the two world wars.
