The Rudolfinum is a grand Neo-Renaissance building set in a commanding position on the banks of the Vltava River in Prague's Old Town.

Landscaped gardens and a riverside promenade separate it from the water, while at the front, a statue of the Czech composer Antonín Dvořák and a sweeping entrance welcome visitors.

The Rudolfinum contains two magnificent concert halls, exhibition rooms, a library, a shop and a café.

Dvořák Hall is the Rudolfinum's principal concert hall and one of only two large concert halls in Prague, the other being Smetana Hall at Municipal House.

Dvořák Hall is renowned for its superb acoustics and architectural beauty. Huge chandeliers descend from the ceiling, while grand Romanesque columns frame the hall and a majestic organ dominates the stage.

Orchestral concerts in Dvořák Hall are mostly reserved for season subscription holders. However, when concerts are open to the general public, tickets are available via our concert listings.

Suk Hall is the Rudolfinum's secondary concert hall. Its more intimate atmosphere and excellent acoustics are perfectly suited to chamber music concerts, including string quartets and piano recitals. Tickets for all Suk Hall concerts are available via our concert listings.

The Rudolfinum is the seat of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, which performs and organises concerts in both Dvořák Hall and Suk Hall. It also hosts performances by other leading Czech and international orchestras and ensembles, including the Prague Philharmonia and the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.

For refreshments, Dvořák Hall has several bars that open before and during concerts.

Next to Suk Hall is Café Rudolfinum, a traditional café open from 10:00 to 17:30, Tuesday to Sunday, and in the evenings when concerts are taking place.

Café Rudolfinum is open to all visitors, regardless of whether they have a concert ticket. It is ideal for a pre-concert glass of sparkling wine or simply a coffee during the day. In fact, we consider it one of Prague's hidden gems. Note: during the day, access to Café Rudolfinum is via the side entrance to the Rudolfinum, next to the river.

Foyers and cloakrooms for both halls open 60 minutes before concerts.

Above the café, on the 1st floor, is Galerie Rudolfinum, a suite of exhibition rooms. Significant exhibitions staged here are listed in Prague events.

The Rudolfinum was constructed between 1876 and 1884. In the early 20th century it played an important role in the development of Czechoslovakia. The national parliament, for example, was based here between the two world wars.
