Ginger & Fred, set on the top floor of the famous Dancing House
building, presents a delightful international menu complimented by magnificent views over Prague.
Step out from the lift and you enter a stylish air-conditioned restaurant with windows on three sides. Look out, and Prague Castle, the Vltava River and Charles Bridge lie before you in panoramic splendour.
A well balanced, first-class menu is on offer which includes fresh river and sea fish, lamb, beef steaks and duck dishes. And there are superb desserts and pungent French cheeses to finish with.
The restaurant boasts a good range of international wines, plus some nice bottles from the Czech Republic.
The views are lovely during the day and at night from inside the restaurant. And from June to September there is the option of dining outside on the rooftop terrace.
When booking a table (reservations are essential for this restaurant), we would recommend not requesting a table outside - the weather is highly changeable in Prague (it may also be too hot), so it is advisable to secure a table inside, then ask to sit outside on the day if it suits you.
Ginger & Fred is a fine choice for a special occasion. The views are awe-inspiring and romantic, and the cuisine is terrific.
