Ginger & Fred is set on the top floor of the famous Dancing House building, right on the bank of the river. The restaurant presents a delightful international menu complimented by magnificent views over Prague. Step out from the lift and you enter a stylish air-conditioned restaurant with windows on three sides. Look out, and Prague Castle, the Vltava River and Charles Bridge lie before you in panoramic splendour. Ginger & Fred has a well balanced, first-class menu which includes fresh river and sea fish, lamb, beef steaks, and duck dishes. And there are some superb desserts and pungent French cheeses to round off your meal. The restaurant boasts a good range of international wines, plus a number of excellent bottles from Czechia. From June to September there is the option of dining outside on the rooftop terrace, for beautiful views in the open air. However, when booking a table at Ginger & Fred (reservations are essential, and you can do this via Prague Experience), we advise not to request a table on the terrace - the weather is highly changeable in Prague, and it can sometimes be too hot to sit outside. Instead, secure a table inside, then ask for one on the terrace on the day if it suits you. Ginger & Fred Restaurant is an excellent choice for a special occasion. The views are awe-inspiring and romantic all year round, both during the day and at night, and the cuisine is terrific. |
