The Dutch Pub in Prague is a large lively bar in the New Town. It serves a wide selection of local and imported drinks, shows live sports on big screens, and plays upbeat tunes throughout. The Dutch Pub is open all day, and is one of those bars in Prague that never fails to draw the crowds - their secret is repeat business, because once a punter has taken a bite of the Dutch Pub pie, they tend to return on another day for more! The bar is situated on a quiet street 6 minutes walk from Wenceslas Square and 10 minutes from the Old Town Square.
The decor is part London Victorian pub (think large mirrors behind the bar and dark wood panelling) and part curiosity shop (artifacts from Dutch colonial times line the walls, such as a ship's Helm, lamp holders, Ming vases,
even a model elephant). The Dutch Pub is sufficiently spread out that on any one night, a large group of friends can be enjoying drinks in one area, hen parties knocking back cocktails in another, and stag dos can be watching live sports in a third. And the Dutch Pub has one of the best large screens in Prague, showing a wide range of live sports, including Premier League, Champions League, Euro and World Cup football; rugby; cricket; and athletics. For drinks, the Dutch Pub serves Heineken and Kruovice tank beer. They also have Dutch and Belgium beers, ciders, Czech and European wines, spirits, and offer a selection of cocktails. The Dutch Pub offers visitors the Saturday night feel seven days a week. Staff are friendly and efficient, and carry out their duties with a smile. Next door to the Dutch Pub is Gabby's Irish Pub. |
