| Srnec Theatre in Prague is the world's first black light theatre company. Led by Jiří Srnec, the inventor of the genre, the company has performed to over five million people in 68 countries, continually refining and evolving its productions.
In Prague, their current production, Antologia, brings together the most popular scenes from these performances, showcasing the creativity, humour and illusion that have defined Srnec Theatre for decades.
Black light theatre, a typically Czech art form, creates a world of illusion and hidden secrets. Stories are told visually through a blend of colourfully dressed mime artists, visual illusions, energetic dance routines, acrobatics, and dramatic sound and lighting effects.
The performances are emotional, imaginative and often include playful comedic touches that appeal to both adults and children.
Srnec Theatre is located just five minutes’ walk from both Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square.
In black light theatre, the story is presented visually with little or no spoken dialogue, making the shows ideal for international audiences of all ages. View theatre performances - listings & tickets. |
